What do you do if you don’t like your job anymore and you want to pursue your dream of doing something completely different, like dude in Soul Food that gave up law for music? Do you chase your dream?
This particular question really hit home for me because I've done this before. I'm reposting this question in hopes to get some insight on what you would do or have already done.

I'm going to try and not type a book in your comment section. Long story short though, chase your dream. It's so vital to your being. I think it's all about happiness. I think far too many people in life don't do what makes them happy instead they do what makes others happy. Then they wonder what if. I would much rather try and fail then to not try at all.
Right now i'm currently working a fulltime job while also working on my dreams. I see it as honing my skills...concentrating on the big picture...soon, yes soon...i will do what i was intended to do.
This has been my quest for the past year! I've been getting my finances straight, so that I can leave my job at the beginning of next year. It's really challenging to pursue your dreams once you have a family & a mortgage. There is always that nagging feeling that you're shirking your responsibilities or being selfish if you walk away from a sure thing to pursue a "dream". But if you don't feel fulfilled or passionate about what you're doing, your family will end up suffering anyway.
