Beauty| SmashBox Camera Ready BB Cream

SmashBox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
Price: $39
Availability: Smashbox Online or Sephora Online and In-Store
My Shade: Light Medium

Claims:

This multitasking tinted cream formula with SPF 35 moisturizes, primes, perfects, controls oil, and protects for flawless skin on set and beyond.  Formulated with emollients and optical pearl pigments, this BB Cream gives skin a glowing, ethereal look and provides a hydrating veil for the complexion to maintain moisture on the surface of the skin. With its ultra-smoothing finish, it instantly re-texturizes to create a smooth canvas.

My Thoughts:

This BB cream is lightweight and provides excellent coverage. Whether you're going for a sheer finished look or like to up the ante to full coverage, you'll definitely get the job done with SmashBox BB cream.

At first glance there's a bit of sticker shock at a hefty $39.00 for only 1.0 fl oz.  However, the price is well justified as a little goes a long way.  The BB cream is thicker and creamier than your average tinted moisturizer however, it's super lightweight.  Once applied, I couldn't tell that I had anything on and my skin felt super moisturized.

After wearing this BB cream everyday for about a week and a half, I noticed that my skin had a little more of a glow, my pores weren't clogged and I actually noticed that the pores on my cheeks were smaller which is a nod to the smoothing benefits of this product.  Throughout the day, the usually-oily patches on my combination skin were no match for the BB cream.   My skin had a simple & beautiful glow instead of looking like I fell face first into a vat of canola oil.

Again, the coverage is amazing and if ever you find that you don't have time to add all the typical layers (primer, concealer, foundation, powder) all you need to reach for is a BB cream, apply it and be on your way; no ash, no cake, no fuss.

I've applied the SmashBox BB cream a number of ways which all worked great.  I've used my Sonya Kashuk powder brush, my hands & my EcoTools foundation brush.  I'd like to see how it would look applied with a stippling brush but I've yet to add one to my collection of brushes.  I'll be sure to update on that at another time.

In closing, I didn't know what to expect going in but I'll proclaim here and now that I've become a quick fan of SmashBox over the past few months due to the sheer excellence of their products. So far, I have not been disappointed with a single one and I'm glad I added this BB Cream to my Smashbox collection.

Smooth, skin-like finish with no ash and no caking; natural light
Face-to-neck-comparison; as you can see it's a great match; natural light
Will you try or have you tried this product out yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

I tried the Garnier BB cream because it was on sale and I heard great things. I've used it a few times...its just ok. I think I prefer tinted moisturizer instead. I may have to try Smashbox bc your skin looks great! Keep you posted
