The SmashBox Be Legendary lipstick collection is new for Spring 2012 and the range is complete with 22 sumptuous shades and two finishes; matte and lustrous.
The texture of the packaging feels similar to that of NARS--a luxurious, rubbery velvet is the best way to describe it. And as you can see in the picture above, the lipsticks come in a square tube as opposed to the conventional round, bullet-shaped tube.
Infused with vitamins C, E & shea butter, the Be Legendary lipsticks are super moisturizing and lightweight. Mandarin is a pretty red-orange and reminds me a bit of MAC's beautiful Lady Danger. Mandarin has a beautiful sheen and glides on a smooth as a gloss. Vivid, playful, bold; Mandarin is perfect for spring and summer. I'm so glad I'm no longer intimidated by bold lip color as I'd surely be missing out on a great set of lipsticks.
Also from the Be Legendary collection, I purchased SmashBox's Nylon Nude which I think is absolutely fantastic as well. Mandarin, along with Nylon Nude, are my first two lipstick purchases from SmashBox and they definitely won't be the last.
