Life In Transition | From The Ground Up
31x31 | #1
God has been so awesome...
When my life's in a transitional stage simliar to where it is now, I tend to sink into a mood--whatever it may be, and when it's good, I let it linger.
And of course, you know what this means: One more thing slashed off my list of "31 Things"
God has been so awesome...
When my life's in a transitional stage simliar to where it is now, I tend to sink into a mood--whatever it may be, and when it's good, I let it linger.

I'm at a phase in my life where there has been much introspection and very careful planning. Everyday I realize that I'm not at all the same girl I used to be. All in all, I feel so positive about where I'm headed and everything I've worked hard for is coming to fruition. Absolutely nothing has been rushed and it's all happening it's appointed time.
Usually, when I can see and feel that the end is near on a particular project or life event, I begin to plan for the next thing and the next and go for it. This time, I'm not.
In the past, I was foolish to think that I could do it all on my own and it landed me right back a square 1. But in recent years, I've been staying in prayer and being attentive to God's Word and letting Him lead me.
Since I let "Jesus take the wheel", I don't feel like I have to rush, I don't have to stress and I've stopped complaining because God has already laid the road out in front me. All I must do is stay on it and stay faithful to His Word and everything that He has promised will surely come (Habukkuk 2:2-3). So at this particular moment, I'm taking the time to revel in where I am right now. And it feels good to be content, happy--not complacent and not frazzled and worried.
One of the biggest pieces of news I've been waiting on sharing is that Chief, MJ & I have purchased a new home.
We started only casually looking in August of last year and my mother told us to go look at particular model home. From there, we fell in love but continued to look around. We saw a few other homes but weren't impressed. In October, we went back and signed papers for our new home and construction began on December 31, new year's eve.
And here we are four months later, I'm telling y'all had it not been for what happened to me as I discussed a few posts ago, Chief and I wouldn't be at the point that we are now. Chief would likely be doing it all on his own and how shameful would that have been if we're supposed to be building a life together?
Later, I'll share with you how I got from there to here but for now, I just want to say how excited I am that everything is almost complete. Next week is our final inspection and home presentation. The following week, should all be up to snuff, we go to settlement where we sign our lives away on over 100 sheets of paper. We've been keeping a log of everything and we have LOTS of pics. Here are just a few:

And here's the "center piece" of the house and it's transformation.
We've been watching this baby from the ground up and I have to say that it's been a super exciting process, mountains of paperwork, lots days off from work and alot of waiting. We're so ready.

Yesterday, I learned on NecoleBitchie.com that Beyonce was starting a Tumblr! I was so geeked. There are a number of Bey posts "up and through" my blog so I'm sure you already know I'm a stan and I had to share this.
Beyonce finally gives the "BeyHIVE" a little more of herself.
